Many people have speculated that the end of face-to-face contact is over, that people will (and some already do) communicate through technology only. Humans of New York

Humans of New York began as a project to take a visual census of 10,000 New Yorkers and plot the photos on a map. Over time, the creator started taking quotes and life stories of the subjects in his photographs. So far the he has taken over 5000 photos and is in the process of publishing the stories in a book.
